Kerry Hayes represents the second generation of a remarkable New Zealand industrial family. Born in Rotorua in 1962, he transformed his father’s machinery business into a global automation business spanning seven countries across four continents.

After completing his engineering apprenticeship at Hayes International in 1980, Kerry spent two decades mastering the family trade before launching his international consulting career. His innovations include developing the world’s first fully automated door production system, reducing manufacturing time from over an hour to just four minutes.

Today, Kerry leads multiple companies specialising in advanced manufacturing automation and robotics. Operating from New Zealand to Europe, Asia and America, he continues his family’s 60-year legacy of engineering excellence and innovation.

Brian has over 45 years of business experience, spending much of his time working with corporations on business structuring, governance and best business practices.

Since joining Tractive Group in Australia as its acting CEO and Company Secretary, he has focused on ensuring the group has the business structures in place to move forward commercially, with strong corporate governance and professionally documented and managed contractual arrangements — and that all parts of the group collaborate to achieve the best possible commercial outcomes.

Derek has over 40 years’ experience in fabrication design and engineering. He has been the lead engineer in developing the composite springs and door openers.

David is a registered patent attorney and barrister with nearly 25 years of experience in intellectual property strategy, portfolio management, patent prosecution and enforcement.

With a background in chemistry, he was a partner at a top Australasian IP firm before focusing on start-ups with complex IP portfolios. David has been recognised as an expert in IP strategy in the IAM Strategy 300 and for high-value IP transactions in the IAM Patent 1000 guides.

Dragan holds a BE (Hons) in materials engineering from the University of Serbia, specialising in composites.

He focuses on composite research, standardising practices and ensuring compliance with scientific and regulatory standards — ensuring all products comply with accepted international standards and documenting all processes, systems and methods of manufacturing.
